Our Dog Max

When I was single and living alone , I got a new puppy. Max was 6 months old when he came home with me. He has always been the best dog. I had so many different people tell me that a lab would chew and dig up everything. Well that didnt happen. I had no problems with him at all. He was house broke in no time. I loved my dog Max. It didnt take long for Shaun to get attached to him too! Now that he is almost 5 years old he is getting a little tired. He has never had much energy considering he is a lab. He loves to sleep at the foot of our bed everynight. He has made the best pet and is truly a big part of our family. Sarah Grace loves him and he is so good with her. She often tries to ride on his back and dress him up with necklaces.

During the day we try to keep him outside where he sleeps by our kitchen window. Well several weeks ago I planted flowers and made myself a pretty little garden right where he lays. It did not take long for him to change that..... This is the only place he ever digs and I guess he is just trying to tell me something.
The funniest thing happened today. During Shaun's lunch break he took SG out to play on her swing set. For the first time, Max decided to join them. Well it was cute for a little while until it was time to get him down. Shaun tried calling him down the stairs and then pulling him down the slide but neither worked. As you can see Shaun had to hold him all the way down the slide. I was laughing so hard that it was almost impossible to get a picture.

That is so funny. My husband and I also have a lab. She is black and stays out in the country with my brother and his family. Labs make great pets. Love the blog and the pictures!

Girl... you are SO lucky to have a calm lab.... Our yellow lab is/was a holy terror! It wasn't until we took him to Britt's brother's house that he finally found peace living somewhere. He wasn't an inside dog so he stayed outside all the time. He didn't like when we moved to Bentonville and found a way to dig out all the time. He now has 60 acres to run on and is the BEST dog!

Hugs - Tiff
