Yesterday Sarah Grace and I had big plans to go to the Pumpkin Patch with friends from church. Well I woke up around 7:00 with slight menstrual cramps. I tried to go back to sleep but the cramping was around 15 minutes between each one so I decided to take a bath and then continued to get ready for the play date. A little before 11:00 I called my doctor and she said to go ahead and come down. So I called my good friend Fanya and she came by to pick up Sarah Grace to take her on to the Pumpkin Patch.
Shaun came home and we had a sandwich and then went to Fayetteville. From the minute Shaun got home to the time we got hooked up on the monitor, I had absolutely no cramping at all. Shaun and I both knew we were going home. They checked shortly after hooking me up and I was dilated to a three. They wanted to monitor me for an hour to see if I progressed at all. After about thirty minutes on the monitor I was having pretty good contractions. My doctor is out of town but the one on call was wonderful. She did not want to send me all the way home so she decided to admit me and break my water. I was finally admitted around 2:00 and I was started on potosim and given my epidural. By 6:20 I was ready to push and at 6:38 we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Lena Kate weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and 20.5 inches long. She has a full head of dark hair like her big sister did. She is absolutely perfect. She is very alert and eats very well.

Proud Big Sister. Sarah Grace came in the room after she was born and said "Oh Lena Katherine, I have a prize for you, your own room at my house". It was so darling. Sarah Grace was so excited. 
Our family
This was my nurse Barb. Barb was so amazing! I don't know what I would of done without her help. She stayed in my room the entire afternoon. I loved her and was very thankful for her.
These cupcakes were made by my good friend Jennifer. She has started her own business and does such a great job. I bought one for each one of our guest at the hospital.
