January 1st every year we hike up about 2 miles across the river to a large cross that sits on a bluff
This year, my sister Dia took Aunt Lena and all of the kids for a drive around the resort and the rest of us hiked the trail
We have a great time on the way up
Shaun and I did the hike alone before Sarah Grace was born and have done it every year since. This was my parents first year to join us
It was also Jason and Jacobs first time to go up
Jacob did so good! We were all so proud of him

Lena went on her first boat ride this year! We actually got caught down river in a huge rain storm. The girls loved it!
