All Glorious is the Princess was this years theme at our youth girls event at church. I was so blessed and honored when I was asked to be on the committee for String of Pears 2011. I was so excited to be part of such a special event for all of the young girls that I love dearly. What I didn't know is that the Lord wanted me there for other reasons. I realized that no matter how old you are-YOU are still God's Princess.
I often struggle on so many things that I don't have that others do. I want to be skinny with great hair. I want to be the best mom and a wonderful wife.
Shaun often asks me when enough is enough and why we cant be happy with what we have. Until this weekend, I never understood that question. I am so blessed with so many great things. What else do I need? I have a amazing husband that loves me and he thinks I am pretty. He chose me to spend the rest of his life with. We have two beautiful daughters that are so adorable and precious. We have a nice home and wonderful family. And the most important, I love Jesus and Jesus loves me. Seriously what more can I possibly need or want?
This was one of the best weekends of my life! Thank you Jesus for opening my eyes to see what is really important and loving me unconditionally.
Yesterday the girls had a wonderful day. Lunch and a Spa treatment. As you know we got so much snow over the last week and almost had to cancel the event. I think out of 120 girls only 5 could not be here. We were all sad that some of our college leaders could not get in town.
After the spa and lunch, we all headed over to the Embassy Suites in Rogers for the night. I was so excited to get out of the house and to have some girl time. My friend Ginger, My mom, and our friend Beth all stayed together in a room. This is a view of all of the snow from our room.
My sweet sister with her roommates
Natalie with her college leader Anna
My mom and Natalie matched and didn't plan it. Cute!
We had a wonderful guest speaker Cari Trotter and an amazing worship leader Sarah Owens for the weekend.
The girls all got swag bags that were filled with so many fun things.
We served the girls nachos and lots of sweet treats during craft time. I think it was after midnight before we even headed up to our room and after 1:00 before our lights went out.
