I had so much fun planning Lena Katherine's 2nd birthday. She turns two on October 1st but we could only do a party this past weekend. About 6 months ago I started planning a Shabby Chic Cowgirl party for her. We had originally planned to have it at my aunt and uncle's farm house but something came up and I had to do it at our house. I had the party pictured in my head and I just started shopping for old unique props to use. I found this blue frame for $1.25 at a flea market. I painted it and then used chalk board paint for the middle.
We served cake, cupcakes and cookies to our guest. I had cute ice cream in small mason jars and cake pops that I forgot to get out of the freezer. The day was a little crazy! I served lemonade out of the jars with lids, sweet tea out of mason jars tied with burlap and fabric. I ordered the straws and wooden utensils from Shop Sweet LuLu.
Each guest received a crate (Hobby Lobby) filled with candy, animal crackers, old fashion cookies, and a cow tale as they were leaving. I had a metal tub of deer corn with lots of farm animals for the kids to play in. Lena Katherine seemed to like this the most!
I used old fabric to make the banner for the photo booth. It was so easy to do. My sister and I made it in less than 30 minutes. She cut and I tied them together. The door came from the goodwill and I did the same as I did with the frame with her name. My grandpa let me borrow most of the props for the party. The shabby pigs came out of my parent’s back yard.
I used old egg cartons for mini cupcakes and berry baskets for the cookies. The cupcakes and cookies all came from Sam's club. The pink jugs I found at Hobby Lobby for only $12.00 on markdown. I borrowed the desert shelf from a local flea market (Finders Keepers). I used an old picked fence to display pictures of Lena and placed old quilts out for the kids to sit on.

The window panes I found a couple of months ago and used them for pictures of the birthday girl
I used old scrap wood for the kids table and had hay bales for the seats.
I filled brown sacks full of peanuts for all of the adults to take home with them. They were tied with printables from One Swell Studio. All of the printables for the cupcake toppers, invatations, table signs, water bottle labels, and thank you tags were from One Swell Studio. I really enjoyed working with Cara and she did such a great job!
I used fabric from Joann's Fabric and lots of burlap for the table cloths and for the kid table. I ordered coordinating skirts for the girls here and then I made the shirts for them to match.
I had a close family friend come out to sing with the kids and play background music for the party. He did a great job!

We used Ponies Express for pony rides. The kids enjoyed them so much!

I redid my one wall yesterday in my living room and it stressed me out. How you do parties like this humbles me!
I'm storing all these great ideas in my head for when I have kids someday!
The most important part is it looks like the kids had a blast.
Lena could be a Gerber baby with that sweet face!
