Master Bedroom Makeover

Now that we finally (after 6 years) have our kids in their own beds, I decided it was time for a make over in our bedroom.  This picture was taken a couple of years ago but it was the only one I had on my blog

I decided to paint all of my furniture to match my tv cabinet and desk this past week.  I went with Antique Beige and love it!  It made such a huge difference.  This bedroom set was scratched from our dog Max and kids over the years and really needed a face lift.

Shaun bought me this comforter for Valentines day and I found the pictures above our bed for $12.99 at Kirklands.  My lamps are from the goodwill and are the same as the ones in the above picture.  I just used a bottle of spray paint that I had.  I shopped for everything else around the house.  So this makeover didnt cost more than $45.00 including paint for the furniture!

I love how it turned out.  It really has lightened things up and has made it seem much larger.

Do you use chalk paint when you paint furniture? Or what do you recommend?
