The Cut

As much as I hated to do it- I had to have Sarah Grace's hair cut today.  It is absolutely beautiful long blond hair but impossible to brush everyday.  She doesn't hold still more than 20 seconds.  She hates to wash it and hates to brush it so Shaun and I decided it was time to cut it.  She was ready and so excited about it.

This is about what it looks like in the mornings every day.
Lena enjoyed tearing up my purse while we waited.
She took about 6 to 7 inches off of her hair and it looks adorable.  She loves it so much.  I really wanted to cut it like mine but couldn't do it just yet.  I have to go slow!  She keeps telling me that she wants her hair like mine so maybe in a few weeks we will try it.

I went to Hobby Lobby today while Aunt Lena was visiting a friend and the girls were in MDO.  I wanted to get a chalk board for Sarah Grace.  I read that this was a good way to teach your children to write.  I also bought flash cards so that we can have study time daily.
I am hosting playgroup next month for Valentines day so I thought I would pick up a few things to get busy.  I love parties and love to host them.  Especially themed ones!  I also bought these Mason Jars to make cookies in a jar for VDAY gifts.  I have never made them and need a good recipe and cute recipe card.  Any suggestions?
I bought these cute tins to either hand out as favors or for Sarah Grace's friends at school. I thought they would be cute with a label and Hershey Kisses.  I love Valentines Day!
